Intermediate Ensemble
31st July - 4th August 2023

The intermediate strand of VIVAstrings is aimed at string players aged between 7 and 16 years and must be grade 2 - 5 or equivalent.

This course will focus on large ensemble music-making with several intensive sessions each day led by experienced tutors from around the country. Sessions will be a mixture of sectionals (violin, viola, cello and bass) and full tutti (all-together rehearsals). Participants will enjoy learning beautiful repertoire in a safe and engaging environment all set in the beautiful English countryside.

When not immersed in music-making, participants have the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic range of extra activities together such as art classes, swimming and exploring the countryside on guided walks. The delicious meals and wonderful pastoral care make an inclusive, family atmopshere in which every student can spend a holistic week they won’t forget.

There will be a Gala Performance to celebrate everyone’s hard work to which, Covid rules depending, all family and friends are invited on Friday 4th August at 3pm.
