i. Intermediate Ensemble

Applications will open January 2026

We are delighted to welcome players aged 7 - 16 and grades 2 - 5 (or equivalent) for the Intermediate Ensemble strand of VIVAstrings led by Rachel Cooper from the 27th - 31st July 2026. There are two course options, either

a) Residential* Intermediate Ensemble, or

b) Non-residential Intermediate Ensemble

* Please note that we can only accept residential participants aged 9 and above due to an update in our insurance policy. Participants aged 7 or 8 by the start of the course are very welcome to join as non-residential participants.

As there are limited spaces available for each instrument, places will be given on a first-come-first-served basis. To sign up, simply email vivastringscourse@gmail.com, or fill in our Contact Form, expressing your interest and the participant’s

• date of birth

• request for a Residential or Non-residential place

As long as space is available we will email you back with an online Registration Form and information of how to secure your place(s) with a deposit of £100 per participant.

ii. Advanced Chamber Course

Applications will open January 2026

We are delighted to welcome players aged 9 - 16 and grades 6 (or equivalent) and beyond for the Advanced Chamber Course strand of VIVAstrings led by Jenny Lewisohn from the 27th - 31st July 2026. This is a residential course.

There are very limited spaces available for each instrument, and our aim is to match together players of similar ability levels. To that end, please email vivastringscourse@gmail.com, or fill in our Contact Form, expressing your interest as well as the participant’s

• indication of playing level (grades or equivalent)

• any previous chamber music experience
